Privacy Policy — Tasks

This Privacy Policy describes how the Tasks feature of the Seguimiento app handles information when you create and manage your personal tasks.

Important: This Privacy Policy may be updated at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the Tasks feature after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

1. What the Tasks feature does

The Tasks module allows you to manage your own task list on your device. You can:

Create tasks with a title, description, and location
Edit existing tasks
Delete tasks you no longer need
Change the status of each task (for example: pending, in progress, completed)

Task data is stored locally on your phone unless you choose to share it through other means outside this app.

2. Data we collect and store

For each task you create, the app may store on your device:

Task title and description
Task status
Geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) associated with the task location

This information remains on your device and is not automatically uploaded to our servers as part of the local Tasks feature.

3. Permissions and third-party services

To provide task location features, the app may request the following:

Internet access — required for map tiles, map-related services, and general app connectivity when online features are used.
Location access — used when you choose to set a task location on the map or use your current device position. Location is used only when you interact with map and location features.
Google Maps — the app uses Google Maps to display maps and let you pick or view task locations. When you use Google Maps within or from the app, your use is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

4. How we use your information

Information related to your tasks is used solely to:

Display and manage your task list
Show task locations on a map
Allow you to update, delete, or change the status of your tasks

We do not sell your task data.

5. Data retention and deletion

Task data persists on your device until you delete individual tasks or remove the app from your device. Uninstalling the app may remove locally stored task data depending on your operating system.

6. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information processed by the app. Because tasks are stored on your device, you are responsible for keeping your phone secure (passcode, biometrics, etc.).

7. Children's privacy

The Tasks feature is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may modify this Privacy Policy at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice. The latest version will be made available at the URL where this page is published. Please review this page periodically.
